Site Content Manager

We're in search of an independent, awesome content manager to help us build out a comprehensive community resource for Tacoma (and beyond). This position consists of finding and entering events into our system, building great lists or things to do and resources around the community, and generally finding the fun.

Responsibilities include:

• Use Roam’s content management system to create and edit events, transferring information accurately from the posting to the site

• Verify event info collected by the system and imported into our site is accurate

• Regularly check a database of venues in Tacoma

• Research content for newsletters and Explore posts

• Occasionally liaison w events organizers to verify information

• Selecting events to be included in the weekend rundown posts, email newsletters, features, etc and sending them to designers

• Reporting bugs to the programming team via an online form

Skills and experience needed:

• Data entry/database experience preferred

• Excellent attention to detail and organization

• The ability to work efficiently

• Ability to work autonomously, with limited supervision

Social Media Content Creator

We’re looking for some great people to help us develop out the next stages of our launch.

• Video content creator

• Social media content + design

• Brand ambassador

• Research + Content

Job:  Social Media content and design

We need to build better templates for our social posting, establish standard graphics, and use these to create scheduled posts across social media channels. In addition we need help developing weekly newsletters, Lists posts on our site, and compiling those into social formats.

• Help design new templates and implement these using current event content

• Design and implement weekly newsletters + lists

• Design and publish weekly Rundown posts, Heads Up posts, etc.

• Design and prepare flyers, stickers and booth content.

Experience:

• Solid knowledge of basic design software. Either Figma, Canva, or Adobe Suite

• Solid typography. Hand-  or 3D lettering skills a huge plus.

Skills:

• Good aesthetic sense utilizing brand colors and graphics

• Strong attention to details. It’s incredibly important that event info be accurate.

• Knowledge of social media best practices, or a willingness to learn

• Ability to work autonomously, with limited supervision

Video Content Creator

Our video content needs cover a huge range. This could be anything from live music shows to interviewing comedians, filming dance performances, an opening of a new restaurant, a process video for a maker, markets and festivals, etc.

• Attend events around Tacoma specifically to capture video and still photos.

• Help edit, export and publish content

• Work with the director to coordinate and schedule

• Operates and properly maintains all company equipment

• Uploads media for use across social and e-commerce channels, utilizing company staging accounts when applicable

• Uploads files into storage server, adhering to file naming and archival protocol

Experience:

• Solid knowledge of TikTok, Reels, and generating content for social media

• Proficiency with photography and videography techniques and gear is a plus, but not required. We can teach you.

Skills:

• Comfortable relating to a wide range of businesses and people to build solid relationships and develop great content

• Clear and professional written and verbal communication

• Ability to think on your feet and adapt to a huge range of filming scenarios

• Strong attention to framing, lighting and audio

• Knowledge of photography/videography equipment and best practices

• Solid, reliable team player comfortable in fast-paced environments

• Ability to work autonomously, with limited supervision

• Possess valid WA driver license
